Swim Lessons

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

This morning I decided that my kids should have swimming lessons this summer. I was looking on the internet for places to take the children for swim lessons. As it turns out, the local YMCA is the most affordable and the mst convenient place to our home. The YMCA is only a 5 or 6 minute drive. So I’m going to drive over this afternoon and check into the swim lessons and maybe even joining the YMCA this year.

Last Day of School

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

Today ais the last day of school for the public schools in our county. The kids only have to go to school long enough for them to take attendance and turn in their books. After the teachers pass out the report cards, the kids can go home for the summer.

This morning I will drive my kids to school and stop by each class to say thank you to their teachers and leave behind a little gift. I made them myself and hope they like the little embellished picture frames.

Taste of Italy

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

The teachers and staff at the school my children attend decided to have an end of year party. It is called a Taste of Italy. Each child can invite one adult to come to the event, which is a spaghetti dinner. After the dinner they are giving away door prizes and having a DJ play music so the kids can dance. It sounds like great fun tonight.

Wonderful Mother’s Day

Sunday, May 10th, 2009

My children are the best ever! They all found a way to let me know that they care about me and appreciate me by giving cards and pictures to me on Mother’s Day. That’s the best I could ever ask for! Although they areĀ  too young to go to the store to buy me store bought cards, they each made one themselves with crayons and paints. I think home made gifts are even more special for the important dates, like my birthday and Mother’s Day. I am truly blessed.

Spring Cleaning

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

When the weather gets nice and warm, I look forward to opening all the windows and doors and letting the fesh air come in my house.

These past four days have been very busy for me – cleaning and scrubbing and washing and sweeping. I’ve got a good start on my spring cleaning and when I’m finished here I will head outside to start on my yard work.
