This month has been a crazy weather month. We have had beautiful spring-like days, with temperatures in the 60′s and 70′s and lots of bright sunshine. Then we have had some terrible storms with lightning and thunder, sometimes even hail and the threat of tornadoes.

I’m glad that the threat of frost is behind us unless we have a totally freaky weather day. I’m anxious to get outside and work in the yard, planting some vegetables and some flowers for the summer just ahead.

This summer I think I will expand my gardening efforts a little further than what I did last year. I had some wonderful tomato plants and peppers last year. But this year I want to try some pumpkins and maybe a nice flower bed uner the big tree in my front yard. I have always loved phlox and I think they might do well under the tree.

I can’t wait for Lowes Garden Center to bring out their plants and seeds for this summer’s gardens!
