There was nothing to watch on TV tonight that had any interest for me. So I put the Lonesome Dove DVD in the DVD player and made a batch of popcorn for an old fashioned movie night.
I love the story behind Lonesome Dove. Although it can be very violent and graphic, it is overall very tastefully done and did a thorough job of presenting life in the old west.
My new computer arrived today. I am so impressed! I ordered the computer on Dell’s web site on Sunday night, and it was on my doorstep this afternoon, thanks to Fed Ex and Dell’s quick shipping. I can’t wait to fire it up and install the software so I can set aside my laptop for travel and not for daily use. This is a good day!
My desktop computer has stopped working. I’m not yet sure if it is dead or just seriously ill. I can’t use it, so decided to take the cover off and take a look at its guts. Not that I would know if anything is amiss. But I was curious and figured that if its truly dead, taking off the cover wouldn’t hurt anything. I am relying on my laptop until our tax refund comes in. Then I hope to find a good deal on a replacement desktop so the kids have use of a computer – they are not allowed to use my precious laptop.
I’m watching the CMT music videos today just to keep some background noise in the house while I clean and poke around on the internet.
There is a hit song by an artist named Randy Houser. I’ve never heard of Randy, but this video is REALLY cute and I wanted to share it with everyone. If you get the chance to watch the video called “Boots On,” you should give it a listen and a look. The video is about a dad who pulls up to a gas station with his kid in the back seat. The dad is pumping gas and leaves the car radio on and the little kid sits in his car seat singing away and playing a toy guitar. It is PRECIOUS!
I made one little comment of constructive criticism on a web site forum and WHAM! All these internet people turned on me with vicious nasty insults.
I’ve been called all kinds of names and have been told to shut up, get a life, and go away. I am deeply hurt that people who don’t even know me would attack me like that. They don’t even address the point I was trying to make.
This is very disturbing – that there are so many ignorant, abusive people out there in this world.
