Well as we were on our way to pick up the boys it was a total bust. We get a phone call telling us that they actually can’t come with us because she already made plans and forgot to tell us. Friggin awesome right?! Yea I know! Well We’ll figure something out for next weekend. We just have to see how Sam’s Schedule is like in the coming week. I’m getting ready to write a really awesome post for all of you!
The Weekend Family
Today we get to pick up the boys for the weekend. It’s been three weeks since we got to see them. Sam has been working all sorts of crazy hours and has barely been home. We decided to let them stay with their mom for the time being until we could figure out how his hours are. We have a hectic weekend planned but it may change at the spur of the moment. When this happens we try to put into 2 days everything we missed with them during the last few weeks.
It can definitely become exhausting, so we go with the flow. If it warms up some more we’ll probably go to the park for a couple of hours and then back home for a family dinner. Again this can all change and McDonald’s can end up being our host tonight! We honestly just never know. What I do know is that I don’t like being the Weekend Family. It hurts all of us. My next post will be about how this all happened. It’s a long story and I want to take the time to actually explain it all. I want to be able to explain the actual facts and not just the feelings behind the decisions that were made. It’s a hard life, but we stick with it!
