Last September I had seen this and thought it would be cute to make for Halloween. But I misplaced the recipe and forgot about.
Wouldn’t you know that I just now found it? I still think it is a good idea. I am going to try to find a way to make little snowmen instead of ghosts. I hope they turn out like I am picturing them in my head. I want to use little pieces of pretzels for their arms – I think it will be cute!

Today I put away my iron after spending 2 hours doing shirts and slacks. I think that this is the last two hours I am willing to spend with a hot iron. i have been ironing all my life and I am sick of it. The next batch of shirts is going to the dry cleaners. I don’t care if we have to eat hotdogs for two nights to save the money from a regular dinner to afford the dry cleaning bill. I’m DONE with ironing. Someone else can do it for a while.

Although I’m not a big fan of going out on New Year’s Eve to drink and dance the night away, I do like a champagne toast. I feel badly for people who cannot drink just one drink. It must be hard to deal with that and be an odd man out during a New Year’s celebration. At my house we always offer non alcoholic sparkling juice alongside the champagne.

This year I have not been able to find the wonderful little Claxton fruitcakes that I so enjoy. I used to be able to buy a box with three fruitcakes in it from Sam’s club. But they aren’t carrying them. So I checked all the different grocery stores and cannot find that brand anywhere.
I am so disappointed – those were the best. I hope the company is not out of business! They have been making fruitcakes since before I was born!

I hope your Christmas is wonderful. If you are seeing family, count your blessing and make sure you do your best to leave with a smile, a hug and a kiss for everyone.
If you are traveling, I hope you leave early so you are not late, and that you are safe on the roads and in the skies.
Merry Christmas to all!
